The JLP test

I just came back from Fukuoka. Nothing to say but terrible hic hic
Everyone in the speaking class did so well last week. I noticed that Japanese students have special interest in evironment and IT. They all talked about those topics.
I want to take a rest, forget the test. Oh horrible!

Our world 10 years from now ...

How will our world be ten years later? Who can answer this question but a fortune-teller?^-^ I cant tell fortunes with cards or by dreams but, i hope ten years later, there will be no war. We can live in peace, dont need war weapons anymore. The war of independence against the US, We, VietNamese will never forget how terrible it was. Thinking of the war victims always make me want to cry. All we need is world peace. Ten years later, is it possible?
Using my imagination, 5 remarkable events of 2017 would be:
*January, 1st Vladimir Putin will be elected the Kremlin leader third times successively. The presidential election ended in a landslide victory for him and his party. (He is the greatest politician forever and ever ^-^ I like him so much ^-^)
*March, 10th A peace treaty will have been concluded among all member nations of the United Nations. China, Russia, the US has stopped making atomic bombs and all other arms.
*June, 13th The World Gene Bank will have been established, located in Hanoi, VietNam ^-^
*August, 20th A new Egyptian pyramid will have been found. It has took the place of the Great Pyramid of Giza to be the oldest and largest pyramid in the world but it hasnt been named yet.
* December 8th, Main drainage will have been provided in the moon. From 2018, it will be ready for human to live easily in the moon ( I do really want to ^-^)
That is only my imagination^-^ I dont know whether they can be true or not ^-^. Ten years later? Ten years later, i hope i will have got married ^-^ Having cute children, living in affluent circumstances, that is my heart's desire.

Who am i going to be?

My friends always ask me who i want to be or why i am studying 3 languages at the same time. When i took any courses, i had no aim, just because i thought it interesting...not because of my job in the future. Actually, i have my goal in life but it is just...to be a great mother ^-^ I want to teach my children Japanese, English and of course Chinese as well. It maybe not a big dream with many people but it is all i want to do. I have no boyfriend now. I dont want to get married too, so i am thinking of adopt kids ^-^ Anyways, i am only 20 now. I still have much more time to think 'bout that. The most important thing to me now is the Japanese test that is going to be taken in December 2nd. I dont want to fail that test. No way! No way! ^0^

Straight holidays!

^-^ Happy Halloween ^-^
We had 5 straight holidays last week. It was such a good time but it was not enough ^0^ I still want to have more, more, more holidays. ^-^
Last week, we finished our first group project of the Fall term. I was so nervous that i had difficulty expressing what we had prepared for the presentation hic hic. Our presentation wasnt good as i had expected. It was all my fault. My own presentation was entirely different from my manuscript. I even couldnt spell words clearly hichic. Other members of my group did so well. I was so proud of them...I hope they would forgive me 4 my mistakes.
The weather is so weird these days. It turns cold and then suddenly turns hot. This kind of weather makes me feel so bad. I am half asleep all day long. Last week, while i was still dozing, the Chinese lecture came to and end ^-^ Poor my teachers! I am sure that they dont want to have such a student like me.

Weekend trip^0^

All of us, exchange students, just came back from Aso Mt yesterday. It was 6 degrees when we got there. Shivered with cold ~~~. We had barbecue for dinner, then, played games. Our team was the best team! We defeated the opponent and won all prizes^^ It was such a good time but i am now completely done in hic hic. My arms, my legs...poor them! After walking a day long, my steps felt leaden hic hic. I have my weekly Kanji test at first period, Japan politics homework ( which is very very boring +-+ ) to day...hic hic I am thinking of skipping school to day hehehe^0+

Our English speaking group met last Friday at the dorm. We have decided our restaurant's name, history, menu, and slogan as well. Fortunately, we have creative members so, it didnt cost us so much time to do all the thing. Having decided how to divide up the work among us, we finished the discussion at 9.30pm.

Blackbird-Beatles.

It has been such a long time from the last time i updated my English blog^-^ My friends, my blog, I am terribly sorry!

Lastweek, when we had our English speaking class, our teacher let us listen to the song " Blackbird " performed by The Beatles. It was a song with slow rhythm. As i know, Blackbird was written by Paul McCartney, who was inspired to write this after a bird woke him up at six in the morning in India. McCartney said in 2002: "It was written when there were a lot of troubles in the southern states, over civil rights. I don't know if any of you know, but in England we sometimes call girls 'birds'… and I kind of wrote this song with that in mind."

I thought about the meaning of this song but after i read what Paul said, maybe i need think more about it. " Why was it blackbird? In England, they call girls " birds ", so why was it blackbird? Why not whitebird or some other colors? Does anyone know this song? In Vietnam, crow is believed to be the bird that bring us misfortune, I myself dont believe that but i just wondered if Paul had been in Vietnam, he might have written this song or not. Blackbird?

The biggest festival in Kumamoto!

I dont know how to express my impression of the HI NO KUNI NO MATSURI ( The festival of Fire country ) now. I didnt think there would be so many people in Kumamoto like this. I was really impressed. Really perfect!
Dear Adeel!

Hinokuni Matsuri is the largest festival in the city, thousands of citizens dance along the main street. Lasting for three days in the heat of the summer, from August 11th through the 13th, the Hinokuni Festival electrifies Kumamoto night skies. Celebrating the folklore and history of Kumamoto as a "land of fire", the colorful rythmic Otemoyan Grand Dance winds through the streets of the downtown area in a flood of light. On the following day, the festival comes to a spectacular close as the summer skies come alive with a grand firewords display over Lake Ezu. I love this place very much ^-^

Workshop!

This morning, I took part in a workshop on Japanese’s business etiquette, manners. That was taken place by the Kumamoto prefecture foreign trade association in order to give us basic knowledge of what to do, what to say, how to have good manners while doing our internship. I found it really useful at least, in my circumstance. There were too many important things that I haven’t known till now. For example, when I received a business card, I have to open my both hands and then read the information written on it carefully, keep it until the conversation comes to the end…Even my major is Japanese culture, language, I still cant make a low bow perfectly ( ashamed ). The most suitable way is to bow 45 degrees after finishing saying greetings, and then raise my face slowly (too many to pay attention to ^-^)
Taking an internship course^-^ .That was such a good decision that I wont regret^-^

An interview of internship

These pics were taken at Kumamoto airport on August 3rd. The first one was a watermelon which shaped a regular square^-^ and the next one weighed over 25 kg. Do these pics surprise you?^-^

To day i had an interview for summer internship from 13pm. I didnt really want to 'coz all i want is to spend this summer working part-time job, saving money to make a trip, buy my brother a camera on his birthday ...Inspite of my having not prepared anything for the interview, the result seemed to be very good and the delegate of the company which i had applied told me that i could start doing internship there from next week. Eventhough it was not a bad result and i myself know that i can study many things from that internship but now i still prefer a part-time job to a gratuitous internship^-^Anyways, everything has been decided! I will try my best to have an useful summer holiday learning hard while doing my internship!

Such a wonderful match! That is all i want to say now. Japan vs Korea. Such a wonderful match! Korea team won. I dont know much 'bout Korean team but i was so impressed. They made a real football match. However, not only Korean team but also Japanese team did so well. Really worth watching.^-^

Sad, happy, sad...^0^

Today, i met other Vietnamese living in Kumamoto. We had barbecued beef for dinner, fireworks...I was very happy to meet them. Especially thanks for Ms Tram!^-^
I really want to write more but i am very sad now...Stephen had gone before i arrived at the dorm. I wanted to see him leaving but...it was too late. There are always many memories, a lot of people, that we can't forget all the life time. I will miss them very much...Goodbye and good luck, my friends. Stephen, i'll never forget what you've taught me. Anderia, i will never forget tastes of cakes made by you...When i got to the dorm, i still felt that you and Stephen were cooking in the kitchen, telling jokes, laughing...Thank you for your card, your pics, Stephen...

Yukata festival!

Today, i and other exchange students went to kamidori to enjoy the Yukata festival. My yukata was very beautiful but it was too tight for me. I even couldn't breath. After one hour, i found myself completely exhausted. I wanted to take it off immediately but finally i had to stand wearing it till 4.30pm.

Tomorrow, Nicky, Stephen, Anderia and Crystal will leave here. I'll miss them so much especially, Stephen, he is always very nice to teach me English, give me cakes made by himself...Time passes by too fast to notice^-`I know it's time when words can't bring comfort but...My friends, goodbye and good luck in every thing you do. All of you are always in my prayers. Stephen, take care! You said that you would live longer than me, didn't you?^-^

Presentation!

We've finished the last presentation of the spring term! Even it wasn't a successful presentation but i know everyone did their best, tried their best to prepare for the presentation. I have no regrets over being the same group with them. We spent good time together, consulting, laughing, and sometimes confiding ourselves to others. It was wonderful time that i'll never forget. I usually warn myself against my poor memory, caution me not to be such a cold-heart person but i still forget it in spite of myself.^-^Oh, I want to get rid of my bad habits!

Tomorrow, there will be a farewell party taken place in the International dorm. American and English fellows will go back to their countries. I am now feeling so sorry that i didn't spend much more time talking with them even we live together in the dorm. The reason may be i was too busy with my own studying but anyways, it was my failure! It's too late for regrets. I'll try not to do the same thing next time when new international students come here in August. My friends, it's so sad to say "Goodbye". Maybe we can meet again, maybe not. Good luck to all of you.^-`

A luxury meal^-^

This was my dinner yesterday^-^ Japanese always arrange every thing that is so pleasant to the eye.^-^
Yesterday, I met Ayumi who went to Vietnam to study Vietnamese last year^-^Her Vietnamese pronunciation was so good. That was the first time i have heard a Japanese speaking Vietnamese here. I have talked too much that i can't speaking now^-^My throat is a little painful but anyways, it was a wonderful time that i can't forget^-^

It was very kind of Yamada to introduce her to me. He is always concerned about everyone around him especially international students. Maybe, his major ( social welfare ) has a great influence on him, makes him have the habit of taking care of anyone around him but anyhow i am always thankful for his kindness.

He took us to many places. The first stop was a Japanese-style restaurant. Absolutely a comfortable place! The atmosphere was made to follow Japanese tradition which i enjoyed very much. We had dinner there and then went to visit a water fall. I can't remember its name but...oh, i don't know what to say now. It was really a wonderful time. Thanks! Yamada^-^

When the typhoon comes?

This pic was taken after scooping goldfish match in Nagasu in April
I don't know what to say now^-^Today passed by without any raindrops! Nothing happened! What do they call a typhoon? I don't mean i want to meet a typhoon, a storm or something like that but i had many plans to do, they told me 'bout a typhoon that didn't come. That brought my plans to nothing^-^

About 4pm, a wind has risen and 2 hours later the wind died away^-^I went out in the garden of the dorm to see how the wind was. It was really strong at that time. I felt that i could fly, go to anywhere i want to go. ^-^Thanks to the wind, i could get rid of my stress.^-^Start again^-^

The weather here!

I don't know much 'bout Kumamoto but it is really amusing^-` They told us that there would be a typhoon today but on my waking up, i couldn't believe in my eyes. Clear sky, no clouds, and cicadas are still shrilling happily^-^. Nothing made me think 'bout such a typhoon or even a light rain^-^???
It has been raining from the day before yesterday in Kitakyushu but in Kumamoto it is still clear now^-^ I asked Mr Kame (one of three superintendents of the dorm) and he told me " Don't make a light of the weather! The typhoon will come by 6pm ^-`"

A typhoon!

How cute this pic is!*-*
Everyone is anxious now 'coz a typhoon is going to hit Kumamoto city tomorrow! I have met typhoons and storms before but i can't remember how they were 'coz i was just a small child at that time. I don't know what will happen tomorrow, hope the day will pass without incident. We were told to keep windows closed all the day by superintendents of the dorm. Does everyone worry too much? They make me afraid^-`

Have you seen football match today? So great! Vietnamese football team won 2 to 0 again! We will meet Japanese team Monday next week! As Monday next week is Marine day in Japan, there will be no lectures and i will have time to cheer for my team^-^ Go ahead, Vietnam^-^

Today, i met my group at the school library to hand them the manuscript of our presentation. These days everyone is very busy with tests, reports, semester tests...All of people around me look completely exhausted, so do i^-^Poor us!

A new gift from a lovely stranger^-^

Life is beautiful^-^I always belive that and today my belief has been confirmed by a lovely stranger^-^She entered my blog and left her comments. I don't know who she is but i am sure that she is a nice girl as she has sent me a website that i like very much^-^I am very tired now as i have written the manuscript of the presentation next week but thanks to Blue woman, I got a nice gift today^-^It is very useful, thank you!

Final exam!

From left to right: Yamada, Ayumi, My^-^, Yumi^-^This pic was taken after the speech contest last month.

To day i had my first final exam in Japan but i didn't do it well. I was so sad that i've slept from 6pm till now^-^On my waking up, i felt a little bit hungry. It was a good sign to start trying again, wasn't it? The test covered all Kanji and grammar that i've learnt before i came to Japan but the reason may be i've made light of the test. I regret that i wasn't careful enough. Anyway, it's no use crying over split milk so I'll try my best to do better the next tests.

My group gathered and discussed about content of our presentation 2 times last week but we still can't get anywhere now. The manuscript hasn't been finished yet. I am just a little anxious but everything will be ready by Sat, surely^-^
One thing i was very impressed is that my Japanese friends, all of them are very good at drawing^-^I've seen pics drawn by Ayumi in her blog. Really impressible^-^ In our group, Tsushida, Masa, Yoshino, Ayaka, all of them are very good at drawing too^-^ Only me can't draw. My dear group, i m sorry^-^

Tanabata ^-^ Let's congratulate on the couple's happiness^-^

The original Tanabata date was based on the Japanese lunisolar calender, which is about a month behind the Gregorian calendar. As a result, some festivals are held on July 7, some are held on a few days around August 7, while the others are still held on the seventh day of the seventh lunar month of the traditional Japanese lunisolar calendar, which is usually in the Gregorian calendar's August.
In present-day Japan, people generally celebrate this day by writing wishes, sometimes in the form of poetry, on tanzaku , small pieces of paper, and hanging them on bamboo, sometimes with other decorations. The bamboo and decorations are often set afloat on a river or burned after the festival, around midnight or on the next day. This resembles the custom of floating paper ships and candles on rivers during Obon. Many areas in Japan have their own Tanabata customs, which are mostly related to local Obon traditions.
In Vietnam we celebrate this day by having special dinner with all the members of the family^-^. Saying “cheers” is considered to be the best way to congratulate on the couple’s happiness^-^. However I myself prefer the way Japanese people celebrate this day ‘coz It seems to be more romantic^-^ I also wrote my wishes and hang them on the bamboo put up in the school library too^-^ Peace, happiness, big smiles…

Terrible mistakes!

  • Does anyone know the difference between " mongrel" and "mixed blood" ? ^-^We only can use "mongrel" if we tell about dog of no definable type or breed^-^ In case of human whoes parents are not from the same nation, you should use " mixed blood". "Mongrel" ? Only in case of " Dog" ^-^Watch your own language!

New country^0^ We are Presidents ^o^

I've written something about our Janam land^-^. Can you guess the origin of the name of our country? ^-^ Ja of Japan and Nam of Viet Nam^-^ We act in a body, VietNamese and Japanese! ^-^
The Janam land Zoological and Botanical Gardens
The Janam land Zoological and Botanical Gardens located on the center of Janam City (The capital of Janam land). Construction works of the Garden started in 1860 and the first stage was opened to the public in 1864.
Coming to the Janam land Zoological and Botanical Gardens, you must be surprised at many rare plants with singular shape and a large variety of animals that only live in our Janam land.
*This carnivorous plant’s name is “Ayaka”. The snap traps of “Ayaka” close rapidly when triggered to trap prey between two lobes. ( Ayaka and Tsushida are names of 2 members in our group^-^)

*And this is a carnivorous plant too. Its name is “Tsushida”. The leaf of a “Tsushida” bends in response to the trapping of an insect.

Here are some of the animals living in the Janam land Zoological and Botanical Gardens:
*Wolves are surrounding a bison. Their diet consists largely of other mammals.

*These Emperor penguins show that teeth and claws are not necessary to be a carnivore. They feed on crustaceans, fish, squid, and other small marine life.

New group^-^

There are 5 people in our group when there are only 4 people in other groups. Its means that we'll have more creative ideas, much more wonderful time together, and much more chances to broaden our knowledge^-^
Today, we met at the school library from 10.30am to 12.00am. I showed everyone my manuscript of our country's natural resources and received many useful comments from my group. We discussed how our country would be, what would be its original points, what would attract tourists to go to our country...as if we were real government employees ^-^We all have to write manuscripts of our shares to show everyone in group when we meet again this Friday.

He always looks so cute^-^. The last one is my friend. His name is Yamada, if you met him you can't help laughing ^-^ surely. He is usually very friendly^-^ I love those pics very much!

The rainy season in Japan!

Finally, the rainy season has come! It has been raining from 12nd. Everything seems to be composed than usual even the colour of the hydrangea which look sad with their cobalt blue. I was told that it will have been raining during 2 months. I don't like the humid air but there is no way to escape from such weather like that. So, have to bear and enjoy the full blossom of hydrangea.^-^

Today is a quite busy day! We had finished writting the manuscript of our presentation also drawing the poster. It was such a good time. Hope that everything wil be ok tomorrow!^-^

Have to rewrite again!

There are 11 questions in our questionnaire and we had shared them to 4 parts. I'll write the outline, the idea behind our survey, also the conclusion of question number 1, number 2. The conclusion of question number 3, 4, 5 is the share of Emily. Yooka will write the conclusion of question number 6, 7, 8 and the remaining is Lisa's share.

Yesterday, we met at the group study room of the school library to consult about each other's manuscript. We had thought that it wouldn't cost too much time and we would have the manuscript finished but finally, everything wasn't going very well. Yooka hadn't written any outlines and Lisa had given such specific numbers. Emily had her part-time job yesterday so she couldn't joy us at that time. So, i met her this morning to get her manuscript but she hadn't finished it yet. We had decided to practice for the presentation this Sunday so i asked my groupmembers to finish their manuscript by tomorrow night to have it checked again. We rely on Emily drawing the poster because Emily is very good at drawing. All group members in our group are all trying our best and we are looking forward to making presentation this Monday. I hope everything would go well. ^_^

Presentation!

Next Monday, we'll make a presentation on the topic we've chosen to not only our class but also students of class speaking C. We've made our survey questions by having spirited discussions and now it is the high time we had to show everybody the results. I didn't think surveying questions could be interesting like this. Some of the answers that we had never thought was also filled out. One of them was answered by a 58-year-old man whose name is Mori. He is one of the three superintenders of the International Residence where i and Yooka is living in. I'm making Vietnamese spring roll

We were all surprised at his lovely answers " I and my wife usually go to the cinema together and when we argue no one of us says "sorry" to the other." ^-^The first answer sounded so affectionate that i could imagine at one them having a romantic dinner for two. But the imagination of their romantic dinner disappeared quickly by hearing the second answer. That reminded me of the word " Higo mokkosu". It is the word telling about the stubbornness of men living in Kumamoto. In love, we all are just as childish as ever in spite of age. ^=^ Any way, I think it is so grate if we could fell love any time of our lives even we are young or not. Mr Mori, thankyou very much for giving us such interesting answers.

I went to visit my friends living in Kokura(a small town of Fukuoka city) over the last weekend. It had been such a long time since the last time we met in Viet Nam. We were romping around playing games and going shopping with other Korean students living in the same apartment. I had a wonderful time there. I came back to Kumamoto having my all stress run out. But the PC that costed me nearly 80 thousand yen in Fukuoka at that time doesn't work well now ~-~Poor me^~^

A day off!

Got up at 10.30pm. Not bad to start a day! I miss my Viet nam. I miss my friend so much. Just want to cry while looking at pictures taken in Viet nam. Oh, my Vietnam! Fake smiles? We have no fake smiles, we just need to be ourselves when we get together. Oh, My silly friends, i miss you so! A big smile, i didn't think about it enough when i still was in my Vietnam. But now i think about it every day 'coz around me, there've always been fake smiles. I miss you so!

English speaking class!

*Today, Perry(our teacher) returned us the draft of our questionnaire attaching his comments. It was very kind of Perry to correct our draft which was full of mistakes. I have to rewrite another draft tonight and send it to Lisa or Emily to have it translated into Japanese. Tomorrow, we'll meet for a short while at the noon recess time. Maybe, we'll have lunch break together.^-^

*Today's English speaking class, we heard the song named " Every breath you take". I like it performed by The Police. I don't like the way it was performed as a rock song 'coz it was too noisy and not as romantic as the way The Police did. 4 mistakes was made. I couldn't fill in the blank number 16,17,19 and at number 9, it must be " Every night you stay" but all i could hear was " Every night you sleep" ^-^ Always thinking of sleeping was the reason for making such a mistake like that...Maybe...

my successssssssssssss!!!

Just came home from the school library. +-+ I've made up my mind not to sleep at the library by all means. Today's morning i felt asleep but finally i didn't sleep+-+ today's study was not quite effective but any ways, i didn't sleep. This time i made it! Hope that tomorrow will be better. no sleep at library.

Looking at leaves trembling in the wind always relaxes me. Feeling that i'm flying. I like being in nature, in a place like Kumamoto. Wish all of us a delightful day!

Discuss? Ya, let's discuss!

Last Monday, I asked my group members to prepare 5 questions each to discuss the following days. We met yesterday at the library at 6 pm. Unfortunately, Emily had her part-time job so she couldn't join us. I showed my questions about the qualities of a love partner. Yooka's questions were about gifts and argument and Lisa's questions were about marriage ceremony. Many ideas were not only about the content of the questions but also about grammar mistakes. It was a good lesson for me in finding the best way to persuade people to agree with my opinions. Finally, we finished our questionnaire's draft with everyone in agreement. We left the library at 8 pm. It was dark out side and i said to Lisa that she should be careful on the way home.+_+.

A group! Group Go!

I'm a member of a speaking group which is a great challenge. I like to be in a group where i can share all of my crazy ideas an exchange views with people on a variety of topics. Being in the group, i always try to get everyone to reach an agreement, but sometimes this doesn't happen which can be difficult.

When we met 2 weeks ago, we came to a conclusion about our questionnaire's topic so quickly. Time went by too fast and i have delightful memories of the way we decided our topic.<-> It happened by chance while we were talking about our boyfriends. Yooka and I had differing opinions from Emily and Lisa about ideal boyfriend. We found it very interesting and decided it should be the topic of our questionnaire: LOVE PARTNER. It seems like an exciting topic and i hope we'll have fun doing it.

All about library!

At library, do i want to eat something? No! Or drink some water? No! What about a sleep? Ya, a good deep sleep ^-^
I have a desk right beside my very comfortable bed. A comfortable bed? It sounds so wonderful but it is not in my case because looking at my bed makes me fall asleep and quickly lose concentration. Therefore, i've decided to go to the school library everyday even i don't have classes. At the start, everything was going well but soon after all i could hear was the scratch of pens on paper! It makes me fall asleep even quicker than looking at my bed did. Pretty soon, i'm sound asleep, so what am i going to do about this problem? please, give me some advices!^=^

Seu gau What will you answer if i ask how your life is?

With money you can buy a house, but not a home. With money you can buy a clock , but not time. With money you can buy a bed, but not sleep. With money you can buy a book, but not knowledge. With money you can buy a position, but not respect. With money you can buy blood, but not life. Send your friends your best wishes to bring luck to them, do not send money, because with money, you can not buy luck. Good luck to all of us.
Hello everybody! Here is My! Here is
